The Best Patios in Chattanooga

Summer is upon us and most of us are looking for a spot to grab a bite under the sunshine! We’ve rounded-up our favorite outdoor patios in Scenic City for you.

State of Confusion

First up is State of Confusion, a spot known for their mix-and-mingle patio, wood-fired dishes, ceviche and beer. Grab your friends and head down to the Southside to enjoy this local favorite. While you’re there don’t forget to check out their Pump House - a private bar and patio that is available to rent!

FoodWorks Restaurant

Grab a bite of Southern fare at FoodWorks! Their patio sits tucked outside of their converted mill with soaring ceilings and exposed-brick walls. A great spot for family gatherings and pets are welcome too!

Basecamp Bar and Restaurant 

Basecamp Bar and Restaurant, a casual pub serving craft beer and comfort chow. This rustic-chic spot is located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga. Their partially covered patio makes for the perfect sunny afternoon with friends while you enjoy a beer.

Flying Squirrel 

If you’re in the mood for a funky hangar-like spot with eclectic Southern comfort food, craft beer and cocktails, look no further than Flying Squirrel. It has the perfect indoor/outdoor vibe and not to mention a fabulous brunch.

Naked River Brewing & BBQ

For one of the most unique indoor/outdoor spaces in Chattanooga, head to Naked River Brewing & BBQ. Catch a game of cornhole with friends or simply kick- back and enjoy a beer. Dogs are welcome, too.

STIR

STIR is known for its sprawling, industrial-chic space and patio seating wrapped around the restaurant. This spot offers modern American eats and an oyster bar. Their string-lights, energetic ambience and craft cocktails made with artisanal ice makes for a special night on the town.

Brewhaus

Brewhaus, a congenial gastropub, offering an inventive German-American menu, old-world beers and tastings. This spot has a low-key, covered, patio overlooking the downtown area. On nice days, it can be hard to find a table, but if you do, it’s a real treat.

Market South

This one-of-a-kind full-service food hall on the Southside offers a variety of concepts that should not be missed! Between your choice cuisine and dining experience Market South offers it all. Their cozy covered patio is one of our favorites, especially if a sunburn isn’t on your agenda.

Boathouse

This local favorite, Boathouse, offers a wide variety of seafood and barbecued meats served in a casual bar and grill with an expansive patio deck overlooking the Tennessee River. Make sure you don’t miss their infamous Lawton Rita!

The Daily Ration

The Daily Ration, a casual, locally-owned eatery specializing in elevated breakfast, lunch and dinner staples offers indoor/outdoor seating. Nestled in the heart of North Chattanooga, their partially covered patio makes for the perfect front-row seat to all the action in this trendy neighborhood.
